Membership and Fees
The Club always welcomes new members. Membership in the local club also includes membership in the state and national associations as well. These are the Washington State Curling Association (WSCA) and the United States Curling Association (USCA) respectively. A benefit of USCA membership is insurance coverage and the right to curl at bonspeils throughout the U.S. The annual membership cost is $50 for the 2011-12 curling year. Membership fees are due prior to the first league season you participate in during the curling year. During league play, the Wenatchee Curling Club charges a per-team fee for ice time for each league season in advance. This equates to $15 per week actually on the ice per person.
The cost of all curling equipment including stones, hacks, brooms, guides, and sliders is covered by local business sponsors, community donations, club events and ice fees. At their option, some members have their own broom, shoes or curling teamwear. However, other than a sturdy pair of shoes and clothing that will meet your personal requirements to stay warm, everything else is provided.
